Willi founded Octopus Productions in Germany in 1970 where it became established as one of the premier concert/festival production firms, talent management and booking agency. Octopus produced shows, festivals and organized tours for rock legends like Joe Cocker, Scorpions, Golden Earring, E.L.O. to name a few.
On behalf of the Nakusp Roots Music Society (NRMS), Willi produced the first two Nakusp Music Festivals in 2004 and 2005 before Octopus Productions was founded in Canada. Since then Octopus functions as the administrative firm for NRMS and produced the 3rd ,4th, 5th and 6th Annual Nakusp Music Festivals. In 2007 and 2008, the 4th and 5th Nakusp Music Festivals were completely sold out.
